A Time for Planning

We have officially begun our planning for the next school year... sometimes this can be a joyous occasion celebrating that "I" survived another year but it can also be a dreaded time because of all the work involved and the spending of money for new books/curriculum.

I must say, this year has been one of the best planning years I have had yet!  My husband and I sat down and have been able to discuss and plan together, such a great blessing!  We purchased a WONDERFUL tool called "Planning Your Charlotte Mason Education."  I cannot recommend this high enough!

I was stressed until we began going through this "seminar" and now I feel relieved, not just for this year but long term.  We have written out our goals for our children and our long term plan to get them there!  The $ spent for this was COMPLETELY worth every penny!  Originally I thought about just purchasing the workbook but I really feel that you need both the workbook and the dvd!

I know that you can sit down and write out your goals and such without a tool like this but I am not very good at taking that first step, I need something to assist and to guide me which is why this was perfect for my procrastinating, day dreaming self!

The website where you can purchase this "workshop" is called Simply Charlotte Mason, check out the site... it has MANY wonderful tools for your own home school adventures!

  2. We loved SCM planning guide & dvd as well. I use it through the year for reference, too. Are you using SCM curricula as well?
