I would LOVE to be able to buy this right now...

BUT with money being tight I decided to try my hand at making my own "vintage stationary" here is how I did it:
1) I found some gorgeous vintage clip art on the web and moved them into a Word document

2) I printed them out on regular typing paper.
I wanted to add some flair so I added a little "blush" :)
Lastly I saw this from Painter of Words!
How to make your own vintage looking envelope using brown paper bags!
I am addicted!!!
First I tore open one of my regular envelopes and traced it on the bag, I then cut out the pattern and glued it all together.
Of course I had to add a little something extra, more flair!
Ooh, gasp, sigh! How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHandwritten letters have been on my heart lately as well. I was reading the Bible and thinking about the believers in Ephesus passing around Paul's letter or crowding to hear as someone read it aloud. We have purposed to have those "meaningful handwriting experiences" as well.
You and your family will be blessing so many with those letters!
Those turned out adorable! And the letter seal makes it even more vintage. I wish I had one :)
ReplyDeleteHave a Great Day!
I love it!!! I think that same stationary set you pictured is sold at Victorian TRading company and I have been admiring it for YEARS- seriously, I've bought stationary from them for close to 10 years now, but can never afford the whole kit and caboodle. You are so smart to make it yourself. Poor me- with a black and white printer:( can't do that!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!! How creative you are :) I love that you want to bring back the art of writing letters :)
