Part of our "school" includes cooking with mommy! Cooking is a great way to teach math skills, using all the five senses! Usually in our family we rotate which child gets to play with mommy in the kitchen, this particular morning was the Eldest Princess's turn!
Here we have The Princess Apple Cake:

In a large bowl combine the following:
2 cups of flour
1 3/4 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 cup of olive oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt

Chop up 2 1/2 cups of apples (we peeled ours)
Fold the apples into the mixture

Bake in a 9x13 greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
Let it cool and then sprinkle with Powdered Sugar
Keep an eye on little fingers though.. they like to sneak pinches of the sugar :)
Looks delicious! My kids love to get in the kitchen with me too. And I really should enforce the "taking turns" because it can quickly go from peaceful to chaotic with my 3 trying to help simultaneously!! Just curious, did you use any editing on these photos? I love the look of them
