Its funny how our children hear of the things that public school kids get to experience and they too want to experience the same...
* My daughter wants to take spelling tests and have me grade it with a red pen.
* We had to take a bus ride so that they too can say they have been on a bus.
* We have to have an "official" first day of school with name tags.
The newest wish was for school pictures...
SO.. we took our own and will order wallet sizes for each :)
(the little man didn't care about getting his photo taken although I made him sit in for a sibling shot.. seemed fitting to have the boxing gloves :)
They certainly are a cute class!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathryn, I think so too :)
ReplyDeleteThe boxing gloves are hilarious:) We deal with the same things across the street- comparisons, comparisons...I like to point out all the negatives too just so they don't start to think they are missing out. We have SO MUCH MORE fun than "real" schoolers (as my oldest puts it).
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful! we did school pictures this year too. our homeschool group brought in lifetouch. it was fun. :) no boxing gloves though... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics! We take them every year because I want pictures of them...lucky they don't know many of the public school traditions...yet. Ari is just certain she doesn't want to go. I am sure that will change one day but today I am enjoying the mutual dislike for public school:)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much joy it brings my heart to hear women passionate about loving their children and home educating them! It's for sure not the easiest choice for a family and even more difficult for the mothers. What a blessing to your families and mine! :)
ReplyDeleteCaleb, you are so sweet, I completely adore being your wife!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy blog. Enjoyed seeing your children! Love the quotes on your sidebar.
ReplyDeleteWishing you joy this year.
Thank you Cassandra, Im glad that you enjoy my blog!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog. Have a nice day Radka.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny! "Real school" is all a mystery to my kids. But they do like to read books about kids who go away to school.
ReplyDeleteCute pictures!!!
I love the school pictures!! We need to do that here. I usually just take one that turned out good and dub it the school pic, but it's good to purposefully do them.

Beautiful family! My daughters have the same "homeschool" dreams : must grade spelling test with a letter grade and check mark the right ones. So, too, with the math problems. Also, the school bus thing! Funny.
ReplyDeleteGlad you stumbled onto my blog so I got to visit yours. I'll be back! Hope your husband is feeling better.
