The Valley

Traveling is fun, we have many more trips planned but for now ...

Father has placed us in a valley that we must endure before moving onward.

Cancer, the word that everyone fears and hopes will stay away from your family.
Last week we received news that this disease has touched my mother in law.

The family all rushed together to offer our prayers and support as we listened to her heart.
Please pray for us all to have peace regarding whatever decision is made.

I'm leaving you today with lyrics by Lindsey Kane.

Just when I thought
This valley couldn't get any deeper
Just when I thought
I was stepping out of it
Just when I thought
A mountain was in my view
That’s when I saw You

You didn’t take me out of it
But You joined me in it
You didn’t lift me out of it
But You lifted me up in it
You didn’t pull me out of it
But You pulled me towards You in it
And I know I’ll be okay

Jesus, where would I be without Your sovereignty
Jesus, where would I be without Your sovereignty
Thank You for this valley and I praise thee

Just when I thought
This mountain couldn't get any steeper
Just when I was thought
I was falling off of it
Just when I thought
the valley was in my view again
That’s when I saw You

You didn’t take me out of it
But You joined me in it
You didn’t lift me out of it
But You lifted me up in it
You didn’t pull me out of it
But You pulled me towards You in it
And I know I’ll be okay

Jesus, where would I be without Your sovereignty
Jesus, where would I be without Your sovereignty
Thank You for this valley

  1. Cancer has also touched our family and I'm so thankful that it was at a time when we could stop what we were doing and be there for our family. Praying for healing for your mother-in-law as well as peace to her and your family in the days to come. ((( Hugs )))

  4. Tear shed for you. Where would any of us be without His sovereignty?
Let our spirits praise Him, though our hearts be riven.
We'll be sending a steady stream of prayers upward.

  5. Oh, my prayers are with you, my sweet friend. May your mother-in-law find the strength she needs to go on this journey. Jeremy's grandpa just died from cancer about a month ago, so I understand all too well what you are going through.

Much love and peace and light.

  6. I'm so sorry to hear! You are in my prayers! You are right though, God is sovereign. He's the best one to lean on.

  7. sorry not to have read this sooner, just catching up...years ago, when our family walked that road, a friend gave me this anonymous quote.
GOD bless you all in this valley.

    Cancer is so limited
    it cannot cripple love
    it cannot shatter hope
    it cannot corrode faith
    it cannot destroy peace
    it cannot kill friendships
    it cannot suppress memories
    it cannot silence courage
    it cannot invade the soul
    it cannot steal eternal life
    it cannot conquer The Spirit
