Collecting Inspiration

As we prepare to move out of our RV and into our cottage we have begun to collect things.
Things from our own personal past...

~ family quilts that lay on my bed as a little girl.
~white shabby pillow cases from a mother excited about this new oppurtunity to begin from scratch and is helping.

~ an old wooden chair and ladder from a father in law excited about our new vintage style. It makes me smile to see him as giddy as me.

I have also begun collecting Inspirations from all you bloggers out there!

I wanted to share a few of my recent favorite bloggy inspirations...

Simply Me- This woman has perfected the art of shabby chic, I love sitting with a cup of coffee and browsing the photo's of her beautiful house. She has had four children and still has little ones running around so this too makes me smile as I look at all the gorgeous white, it is possible.

Full Bloom Cottage- I only recently discovered this woman but the photo of her and Rachel Ashwell (my FAVORITE DESIGNER) caught my eye and her blog is just as eye catching. I actually took notes while reading her site in order to remember to keep my eyes open for specific goodies.

There are so many great blogs that I feel I should mention. The list could go on and on but here are a few more of my favorite... Prairie Girl Farm- A home school mama that inspired me with wonderful ideas like using a chippy old farm door for a head board, brilliant! Cappuccino Cottage- Deb has posted so many gorgeous pictures of her cozy cottage home, the chippy white paint and flea market style makes me smile! And last but not least Na-Da Farm Life with Anne Marie, such a great mix of romance and farm life!

There are also many great "junk" blogs that I have found but I will probably do a separate post just for those gals. Enjoy the links, be prepared to stay a while.

  3. Thanks for the links! I'm on the hunt for a chippy old door and wooden ladder to hang all my quilts on. Rich, of course, isn't crazy about the idea that there could be old lead paint on them, so I'll have to strip anything I find....half the joy of vintage decorating is the hunt itself, so I kinda hope I don't find everything I want all in the same year:)
