Newest Cottage Updates...

For those of you that are interested in the updated renovations of the Storybook Cottage...

This first photo is of the girls room. I decided that I loved the fresh crisp look of white walls so I let them pick out a white that had a hint of purple. We are all very happy with the end result!

The Little Man wanted his to have a hint of blue.

And now.. you get to take a small peek into the living room. Currently it is full of tools and such but we went with white trim and delicate white walls. Very Rachel Ashwell and I'm loving it! The wood stove is excited about joining the family in the upcoming week or so.

The Master Bedroom has me completely giddy!! This was the hardest decision for me to make, everyone had their own opinions regarding to paint or not to paint. Most said DON'T DO IT! Although I did adore the natural wood state it was just too dark so with the help from a friend who knew my long term goal and my "style" I was able to stick to my guns and say YES paint it!

This is the window where our bed will be resting under. It was half this size and we had it extended to bring in a bit more light and in order for it to pass "fire code."

We absolutely LOVE our closets. The doors are amazing! Here is a photo of my closet door, minus a door knob :)

And this last photo is of the spa in progress...

Stay tuned to see the finished project that will include tiled floor, walls, an open shower and the tub raised and ready for relaxation!

  1. Can I move in? Pretty please. I will be quiet as a mouse. ;) Seriously though, your home is coming along so beautifully. Oh, and I really am a bit envious of your master. Sigh...
