Three Secrets To Loving Your In-laws

1. Make them your best friends. This is done by spending time together regularly. Share your secrets. Shed your tears while communicating your hurts and heartbreaks.

Pray together when things weigh heavy on your heart.

2. Act like teenagers again. Be goofy. Get together and let yourself loose. Do not be afraid of judgement, just be you.

For some of us this takes a bit longer (like me) but it's so worth it!

3. Hug Often: Another hard one for me since I'm not a hugger but these girls have been trying to make me one since I was 14 years old.

It's starting to feel more natural. :)

  1. great advice, looks like you do this well.

  2. Love the pictures!! I'm not a hugger either:))) What a gift to have Godly in-laws!

  3. I love YOUR blog! I've been reading it for a while. The links and design "crushes" are spot on. These are great pics - I think all three of you are lovely <3

  4. I try, some moments are better than others :)

  5. after your comment at FIMBY I was delighted to discover your blog.

I find it was easier to love my same generation in-laws in the way you describe here than it is to love my (ahem) MIL. I do love her but the acting like teenagers again is a hard one to pull off in that relationship and ack! do I really want to go back there?

  6. That would be a bit more difficult, LOL

  7. Love these adorable pics and your advice! :)

  8. Thank you Holley! Its pretty easy to get goofy shots of us. :)
