How do I view my children?
Do I see them as hinderances OR do I see them as gifts?
Psalm 127:3 states:
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; The fruit of the womb is a reward."
They were given to me by Father as rewards, as gifts. Why is it that I often forget this? Oh to re-evaluate my heart and mind. I am so blessed by Him.
He has given me three great rewards and though there are times when I want to hide in my closet, they ARE truly gifts.
Are you viewing your children as gifts?
I love the picture of you three <3
ReplyDeleteI always love your pictures:)) Children certainly are a blessing from our LORD!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Wish that you were there next to us at the Tea Room, we miss you. :(
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri! I hope that Father comes close to you today, you have been on my heart and mind.
ReplyDeletethat is a great picture! yes, they are gifts. as much as i believe this with all my heart, i still need the reminder in the "inconvenient" times of laying my life down.

I struggle with this conflict all too often! Last week (and spilling into this week as well) my 3 kids were sick which left me feeling very frazzled and drained. I was struggling each day to see my little ones as gifts rather than hinderances in the midst of the whining, the crankies and the drippy goopies! Thank you for the reminder that at ALL times our children are gifts. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, they truly are gifts! I'm praying my actions will line up with this belief of mine. Thanks for the reminder today.
ReplyDeleteOh the sweetness of conviction. Thank you for this reminder. It is so easy to forget.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get actions to line up. I'm thinking perhaps I should print this off and tape it to my mirror. :)
ReplyDeletePrinting the verse that is, not my post, LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, this has so been on my heart lately. I feel such a burden to raise them well and I sometimes forget that they are beautiful gifts to enjoy. Thank you for these words!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Stacy. They truly are beautiful gifts. Sometimes it's just hard to remember that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteamazing insight Heather!! Today when I feel overwhelmed and look at my kids as a job not as the gifts that I prayed and hoped for all my life! Thanks for reminding me about what please they bring my life.
ReplyDeleteso so spot on! my kid is a HUGE gift. we love and adore him but it's still tricky sometimes to remember that. especially when he's unraveling the toilet paper roll for the millions time. ;)
