Summer Adventures

Lately we've been enjoying Summer!

5mile

We have been hiking, swimming, biking, picnicking, fishing, and many more fun filled outdoor adventures.

We are trying to soak up and embrace all of the vitamin D that the sun has to offer.

How about you? What summer activities are you doing as a family?

  1. We discovered that a Gentle Leader from PetsMart is a wonderful tool for leashing that dog. They learn quickly that they cannot pull because if they do it just turns their head. It comes with a DVD and has a lot of great tips for training a dog to do many other things besides walk properly on a lead.  Just a thought... It worked so well for our two large Golden Retrievers now even my younger daughter can walk the dog without being dragged.
We're hoping to do more hiking but we have done a bit of playing in a local stream and picniking. (We are not completely done with school yet.) Planning on a trip to the shore too!

  8. Ooooh I am going to have to get that and try it.  He is amazing at staying with us off the leash but on hikes he wants to go say hi to everyone (not all people love these furry animals like we do) but he HATES the leash.  Thanks for this tip!
