It's that time of year again. Holiday tunes play from my stereo, all day, throughout the house. There is no doubt that Christmas is in the air.
Elving has begun.
Whispering to one another has become a regular thing around the dinner table.
Kids hide in their rooms with scissors, knitting needles and glue. I continue my search for that one movie that I long to have in my hands and watch over and over throughout the season. (I think I found it this year thanks to this blog.)
Stockings get hung as December 6th (Saint Nicholas Day) draws near. The kids are already counting down to our tradition of Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls.
I spend my mornings, making lists. Holiday "how-to's" to craft together for all of my sweet friends.
I search for that ONE word for 2012 as I scribble about the many wonderful changes that the new year will bring.
This is how the Mattern's welcome December.
